Donkey Therapy: "The Boys"

McBean and McDonald, affectionately known as “the boys,” have settled in remarkably well. Like all children, they have exhibited their share of mischievous traits; from overturning dustbins to discovering a particular fondness for the spinach in our vegetable garden—as they say, boys will be boys!

On a more positive note, they continue to make a wonderful contribution to the Centre. A dedicated team of residents has stepped up to care for them, ensuring the paddock is cleaned, hay bales are filled, and their daily pellets and wheat are provided. We even occasionally receive a surprise visit from “the boys” during working hours to “attend” a meeting or two.

Upcoming Concert: Save the Date

The residents and facilitators are already hard at work on our next production, which is set for 30 July 2026. Based on the effort being put in now, it promises to be another fantastic show. Please be sure to save the date!

Exciting Staff Addition

We are very fortunate to have Ngazi Mjali join our team for the next few months while she completes her practicals. Ngazi comes to us with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Sociology. She will be working within our facilitators’ section, where she can gain valuable experience and more direct exposure to our residents.

Annual Garden Party

Building on the success of last year’s event, we are excited to host the Garden Party once again. We invite you to enjoy a lovely afternoon with us; your presence continues to support our primary objective of providing dedicated care to our residents. We look forward to seeing you there!
